Once again, we confront, and mourn, the loss of another classmate and friend. And with his passing the loss of another piece of our collective history and humanity. Sleep peacefully, dear friend and fellow life traveller.
We'll miss the big guy, my last deer hunting partner. I'm sure that the good stories of Hoss are held and sometimes told by Steinhauer, Wilkie and Mosel.
Dave was good to know as a classmate and I am glad we chatted at the last gathering. And it is all the more reason we should all attend our 75th B-Day party this September. If you are from out of the Eau Claire area, come in a couple of days early. Then you can do some serious hanging out with your old friends. (Incidently, Howard Trickey, Jeff Lotz, Steve Roholt, and I went fishing in Canada three weeks ago. Total riot. Takes 60 years to develope these relationships so enjoy while you can.)
Dave was one of those classmates I have known since grade school years at Arlington Heights. I hadn't seen him since graduation until the last class reunion, but I'm glad I got the chance to talk to him a while. I'm sure many of you have some great stories to tell of times spent with him. Denny Hoepner. . . loved your memory! It's stories like yours that make us smile! Duane Steinhauer & Mark Tibbits. . . . I'm so sorry for the loss of your great friend. My thoughts and prayers to Dave's family and friends. Rest in Peace, Dave!
I was also an Arlington grade school classmate with Dave. Through all of our school years I have always viewed him as a "Gentle Giant"! Condolences to his family. Rest in peace Dave!!
