Peggy Jo (Hoeppner) Bushilla (October 4, 1949 - August 9,2025) passed away at age 75. She suffered from a lingering illness. She is survived by her daughter Kjaersti (Bushilla)/Troy Roberts and her sister Ann Marie/Jane Hoeppner in Eau Claire. May she rest in peace.
As published by the O'Hair-Wards Funeral Chapel:
Peggy Bushilla went straight into the loving arms of Jesus the morning of August 9, 2025, a day she held with great anticipation and joy. There was nothing she desired more than for those she encountered, cared about and loved, to come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. She had a heart of great generosity, hospitality, and kindness. She was a caring and loyal friend to many, but her heart was full of love for her family. She leaves behind a daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren and their spouses, great grandchildren, sisters and their spouses, nieces and nephews and their spouses, and great nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew her, could count on an encouraging word, an uplifting prayer, and Bible verses that would bring comfort, strength, and Truth to any situation. When it came to her faith, she was fearless in sharing that with others.
She lived a life full of adventures, traveling the world in her younger days, making life-long friends along the way, but her home was her most favorite place to be. She loved gardening, quilting, crafting, baking bread, and all of her pugs. Her hands and her heart were just two of her greatest assets that she used to bring life and joy to others. Her quilts and crafts will always be a reminder of her thoughtfulness. She wanted others to know that she was thinking of them as she carefully put the pieces together. No quilt or craft was ever the same - - unique like the person she gifted it to.
Whether it was sharing Jesus, praying, harvesting her garden, baking, quilting, crafting, giving a hug, or swinging you around for a dance, she always had a way of sharing her life with you and bringing you into hers.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her life served as a reminder to love fully, live like Jesus, be generous and selfless, laugh, and enjoy each day, as it truly is a gift.
Until we meet again…
We love you.

Deeply sorry to learn of Peggy's passing. I guess it's a depressing sign of the times, but we are losing too many good, decent people these days. Her passing is a loss for all of us. But it's a continuing reminder of the precious value of our lives. Let's give thanks for the privilege of life and no take our lives for granted.
Rest in Peace, dear sister.

I had a number of classes at memorial, including homeroom, with Peggy. I remember her as being fun, full of life and very cute. Gotta admit, I had a crush on her at one point! I'm sad to hear she is no longer gracing the earth and bringing joy and the Good News of Jesus to others. At the same time I rejoice in knowing that she is where she longed to be and I will have the pleasure of seeing her again. I don't need to say rest in peace Peggy because I know that she is. Praise God for His faithful ones.

It was a very sad day when I got notice what that my High School Girlfriend of 4 plus years had passed. Peggy was a Junior and I a Senior when we first dated. We really enjoyed each other. While she was a Senior at Memorial and I a Freshman in college several hundred miles apart Peggy wrote me a letter each day while we were apart. After high school she even enrolled at the same college as a freshman so we could be together. What a kind, loving, fun, and loyal friend anyone would like. I still remember the fun times we had and those memories continue in my mind today.
So Peggy Jo Rest In Peace my friend and we'll get together in the afterlife and catch up.
