Thomas Walter Evans, age 75, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024, at Care Partners Assisted Living, surrounded by love during his final moments. He is now reunited with his beloved parents, Walter and Dorothy Evans of Ladysmith, Wisconsin
Tom was a dedicated father and a compassionate friend who touched many lives throughout his journey.
For over 40 years, Tom made a name for himself as a passionate photographer, using his lens to capture the beauty around him and the joy in people's lives. His warm smile and infectious laughter brought comfort and support to many, especially those in recovery. Tom was an active participant in Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon for decades, providing guidance and strength to countless individuals facing their own battles.
Despite facing personal challenges, including a stroke five years ago that changed the course of his life, Tom remained resilient and devoted himself wholeheartedly to his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him and were fortunate to witness his artistic eye and kind heart.
He is survived by his five cherished children: Jeffery Evans; Jennifer Evans; Joshua Evans; Melissa McHugh; and Brandon Ariate. The light of his life also included three beloved grandchildren Ariel Evans, CJ Burkhart and Evan Bartz as well as 5 great grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter Britney Burkhart.
Tom's journey on this earth may have come to an end but his legacy of love, compassion and dedication to helping others will live on in the hearts of his children and grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held in honor of Tom's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local charity that supports recovery programs, reflecting Tom's commitment to nurturing others.
Rest in peace, dear Thomas. Your light will forever shine brightly in the lives you have touched

I remember Tom fondly. I knew Tom in high school and also had some contact with him in the '90's when I spent a few years back in Eau Claire. Always a kind and creative guy.

I do remember Tom from High School as a kind person. The life he lived anyone would be proud of as well as the challanges he faced. Blessings and thought to his family.
