Greg Goulette

Gregory died of esophageal cancer and complications late Friday night, October 14th at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born on November 13, 1947 to Hilma (Osterude) and Leroy (Tommy) Goulette and graduated in 1967 from Memorial High School. Greg served proudly and bravely in the Unites States Army in the Vietnam war. For many years, "Mr. Greg" (to the kids) happily worked in maintenance services for the Eau Claire Board of Education, retiring from Locust Lane School. He liked spending time at his camper at Island Lake, where he had many friends by whom he will be sadly missed.

Greg is deeply mourned and survived by brothers, Thomas (Mary) Goulette of Winter Park, Colorado and Steven (Sharon) Goulette of Chetek, Wisconsin; and sister Kathleen (Steve) Blomquist of Chetek, Wisconsin; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving Greg is his beloved longtime companion, Mary Bandoli.

Gregory donated his body for research at UW-Madison.

A prayer service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Sacred Heart Hospital.

I remember Greg as that really cool guy in High School. My heart goes out to his family.
